It seems as though everything is about to come crashing down for Denise Fox and Jack Branning (Diane Parish and Scott Maslen) in EastEnders, as Denise prepared to tell her husband all about her affair in recent scenes.
It had become apparent to the couple that something wasn’t quite right with Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd).
Last week, she was caught attempting to steal alcohol from Peggy’s, and more recently insisted that she was too ill to attend school.
Her behaviour worried dad Jack, who asked Denise to chat to her step-daughter, unaware that Denise’s actions had caused Amy’s distress in the first place.
Amy recently discovered Denise’s affair with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), after being told about texts on their phones by Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega).
After a conversation with the teen saw Denise unable to get through to her, Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) admitted that she could smell alcohol on her, prompting Denise to search her bedroom.
This infuriated Amy, who let slip that she knew about Denise and Ravi, leaving Denise totally stunned.
Determined to prove that it was Jack she really loved, Denise explained that they had only kissed once, when Denise and Jack had hit a rough patch.
A tense dinner followed, with Amy and Denise both sitting on a heavy secret.
As Amy offered to clear up, she revealed to Denise that she didn’t plan on telling Jack about her betrayal, leaving Denise somewhat relieved.
However, it wasn’t long before Denise realised that there was a bottle of wine missing, and she headed upstairs to confront Amy.
Having found her passed out with the empty bottle beside her, Denise realised that she couldn’t keep this a secret any longer, as it was clearly affecting Amy’s already fragile mental health.
As Denise informed Jack that Amy had been drinking again, he decided that it was his turn to talk to her, until Denise stopped him in his tracks.
She admitted that Amy had started drinking again because she had found something out about Denise, leaving Jack totally stunned.
As Denise gets set to reveal all about her affair with Ravi, how will Jack take it?
Is this the end of Denise and Jack?
