Poor Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is a worried man in EastEnders episodes to be aired soon, as he realises his daughter Amy (Ellie Dadd)’s relationship with Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) may be more than just good friends.
Since Denzel’s arrival on Albert Square to live with his dad Howie (Delroy Atkinson), Amy has found herself in trouble more than once after trying to impress the newcomer. This included having to be rushed to hospital after she took drugs and collapsed.
Viewers know that the drugs were nothing to do with Denzel. Stuart (Ricky Champ) had handed them to Jada (Kelsey Calladine-Smith), and when they fell out of Jada’s purse in the salon Denise (Diane Parish) put them aside – which is where Amy got her hands on them.
Jack, however, still blamed Denzel for leading his daughter astray. So in upcoming episodes when Martin (James Bye) tells him that he spotted Amy and Denzel holding hands, Jack is a worried man. And quite a cross man, too.
Following this he’s further aggrieved when he finds that Amy and Denzel have been alone in the house together, as his imagination runs riot.
Denise, Kim (Tameka Empson) and Howie think he’s being over-protective and he should trust Amy more. But is he right to fear for what his daughter might get up to next?
