James Bond’s next adventure No Time To Die has been postponed until later this year, but many are more concerned with finding out who will be replacing Daniel Craig after that. It turns out James Norton might not be a shoe in for the role following the latest odds after all. The Grantchester star has been favourite to replace the current actor for months.
But now Ladbrokes have revealed that, in fact, it could be one of a bunch of other major actors taking Craig’s place.
Richard Madden has also been a favourite for a while.
And Tom Hiddleston, Jack Lowden and Michael Fassbender are not far behind him.
But the odds have changed – Norton still remains the favourite with odds of 2/1 to don the secret agent tux.

But Madden is only a whisker behind him, sitting in the betting with odds of 3/1 to become the next Bond.
It seems Norton could lose his footing in the race for the role if he’s not careful, it’s neck and neck!
Hiddleston, Fassbender and Lowden have all now reached the same spot, with the three of them stuck with odds at 8/1.
Alex Apati, spokesperson of Ladbrokes confirmed the latest development.
He said: “The race to replace Daniel Craig is wide open according to the betting.
“With James Norton and Richard Madden leading the way.”
Interestingly, former favourite Sam Heughan, star of Outlander and latest action film Bloodshot, has slipped out of the leaderboard.
It wasn’t long ago the ripped Scot seemed highly likely to slide into Craig’s shoes as the next 007.

Elsewhere, Judi Dench, who played MI6 boss M for four films, has come out and declared the character should never be played by a female actress.
She explained her reasons as being due to the fact the original author intended for the character to only ever be a man.
Asked in a new interview whether Craig’s replacement could be a woman, Dame Judi said: “No. Bond ought not to be a woman because, essentially, that kind of model – Bond as a woman – was not in the writing.”
The actress told The Daily Mail women “should have a go at anything” in film and television.
But the former M star insisted James Bond was a “very specific” character, going further to say: ”What would Ian Fleming say? Well, he’s not here to ask.”
The actress suggested a spin-off of the franchise however, claiming a better prospect would be for an entirely new character and story.
“[Someone should] create a character,” the star went on. “For a female agent to play front and centre.
“That’s nothing to do with Fleming, and not make Bond a woman.
“Is that clear?!” Dame Judi added.
