Viewers were left praising Steve Coogan for his portrayal of Jimmy Savile in The Reckoning.
The new BBC drama makes its debut on TV screens on Monday (October 9) and follows the disgraced peadophille’s life. Steve has taken on the role of Jimmy and the series will shed light on how he avoided justice.
The sex offender got away with his hideous crimes against women girls and boys for decades. And it was only in 2012, a year after his death, that it emerged that he'd sexually bused hundreds of people during his life.

Steve, who is best known for his comedy character Alan Partridge, underwent a complete transformation to play for DJ and TV presenter. And it’s fair to say his performance has got plenty of people talking.
Those who have watched the show already have heaped on the praise to Steve. Rushing over to X, formerly known as Twitter, many were left stunned at his performance.

Kevin Cook, 56, was one of Jimmy’s victims that has bravely opened up about his ordeal and has shared his story in BBC One drama. Kevin was sexually assaulted by Savile and an unidentified man after they finished filming an episode of Jim'll Fix It, broadcast in January 1977.
The young boy, who appeared in an episode of the BBC show with his cub scout group, was lured into a room by Savile who promised to give him a Jim'll Fix It badge. It was in this room that Kevin was both physically and sexually assaulted by Savile and another man, who's abuse Kevin described as "more horrifying" than Savile's.

Kevin said: “It scares the life out of me to think he’s still out there. His abuse was even more horrifying than Savile’s." Bringing the unidentified man, who Kevin described as an "animal", to justice would enable him to finally get closure after more than four decades.
Kevin, who hails from Harwich, Essex, said: "If he could be caught and brought to justice off the back of this series that would bring me closure. Savile can’t hurt me anymore as he’s dead. But this person could still be alive.
“I’m not scared of anyone normally, but this person terrifies me. He is an animal and needs to be put down for the things he did to me. It scares the s**t out of me knowing he could still be alive and doing the same thing to his grandchildren now."
