Kate Garraway says Derek had to be carried by production to film new ITV show

Kate Garraway has opened up about the health of her husband Derek who has been battling the long-lasting effects that Covid-19 has done to his body on Good Morning Britain.

During Thursday's instalment of the popular ITV morning show, the 54-year-old broadcaster joined Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd onto the show to discuss the success of her latest ITV documentary Love Your Garden.

The blonde bombshell explained how she filmed the series back in the summer of 2021 which had been postponed due to Covid-19 as she explained how has gone on to vastly develop her wellness garden since.

And her supportive co-hosts couldn't help but notice how well her loving husband appears to be after he is filmed enjoying the fruits of her labour in the family garden throughout the documentary.

It's clear to see her gushing with pride over her partner's recovery from the devastating illness but she confirmed that life has still been difficult for the pair as the production team helped her carry him out to the garden to film behind the scenes.
