Katie Price has revealed her mother Amy is "suffocating" as she battles her terminal illness – and it's so bad she has to finish her mum's sentences for her.

Katie's mum suffers from an incurable lung disease called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis – after being diagnosed in 2017.

The horrible condition limits her ability to breathe properly and she must take oxygen to help her.

Mucky Mansion star Katie bravely spoke out about her mum's terminal illness when she appeared on ITV's Lorraine on Thursday (February 24).

Opening up about her mum's condition, Katie told viewers it was hard for her to see her mum Amy struggle with such a "horrible" illness that has left her "suffocating".

She said: "My mum keeps saying to me, 'Just when I'm about to to try and rest because I'm ill, you do something else, you keep me on my toes.'

"I'm like 'Mum, you're not going anywhere yet'. I mean obviously she's terminally ill and it is what it is but now she's on her oxygen. We try and have a joke about it, you're on a leash around the house, but no she is struggling."

She added: "It's a horrible illness because you're suffocating… it's not nice to see your mum like that."

Katie then explained that she tries to prevent her mum from tiring herself out by talking, so she finishes off her sentences for her.

Sympathetically, Lorraine said: "Yeah, it's her lungs, isn't it?"

Katie said: "So now when she's talking, sometimes I know what she's trying to say so I finish it for her because I don't want to see her struggle."

Lorraine remarked that Katie has a kind of "telepathy" with her mum Amy, similarly to her bond with her son Harvey – which Katie agreed with.

Amy's mum recently broke down in tears during the final episode of Katie's Mucky Mansion series – as she revealed plans to design a room to comfort Katie when she passes.

Amy said: "When you're not well you look at things in a different way and it would be nice if you can leave things that people can remember you by.

"Once it is done I want it to be a happy room, a comforting room, whenever she is sort of not feeling too good she can come in here and it will be quiet.

"And she can reflect. That's what I think will be nice for her. I've had this Chinese bureau for fifty years myself and well, it's just been with me."

Katie said the sweet room gesture could be the "last thing" her mum ever does for her.

The mum-of-five added: "My mum doing a room in my house is special. Because it could actually potentially be the last thing she ever does for me.

"And hopefully she doesn't pass, but when she eventually does, I know I have a room that she put together. It's sentimental, a nice room, a happy room to be in."
