MARK Wright and Michelle Keegan have applied for planning permission to build a ‘granny flat’ at their dream countryside home they’re building from scratch.
The pair bought a £1.3 million farmhouse last October in Essex, and have been given the nod by the local council to demolish the existing property and turn it into their own rural paradise.
Now they’re going another step further by asking Epping Forest District Council for permission to demolish horse stables for a ‘one bedroom annexe’, which was submitted last Thursday.
As yet, no other details have been submitted while Mark, 33, and Michelle, 32, are in lockdown at their other home, where they’ve been keeping fans entertained with workout videos and hilarious calls to Mark’s pal Olly Murs.
Last month, their grand plan to construct a ‘family home’ was approved by the council, and will be over two floors, plus a loft conversion.
The ground floor includes a TV room, gym, bar area, study and playroom, which has fuelled rumours that they’re planning on children soon. It will also have an outdoor swimming pool.
The couple have already endured a few snags before it was given the green light by the council.
A conservation survey revealed that an endangered bat species was living nearby and then there were also fears that the property is on ‘contaminated land’, which means having stricter building controls.
Michelle recently gave a rare glimpse into her current backyard complete with koi carp pond and cute bridge.
She wrote on Instagram: “Feeling grateful in the solitude today and finding peace in the silence. Sending love to anyone who needs it right now ? …What are you grateful for??”

The snap showed their serene backyard in front of the Chigwell countryside and featured the green wooden bridge which stretched over the koi carp pond.
The former Corrie star’s sausage dog Phoebe could be seen running across the tiny bridge.
Michelle’s fans were stunned at her gorgeous pond, with many of her 4.4mil followers telling her what they felt grateful for.
