BBC Breakfast has had a shake-up in terms of who presented the show this week, as Naga Munchetty was seen sitting in for Louise Minchin on Tuesday and Wednesday alongside Dan Walker. During her time on the red sofa, she spoke to Fiona Bruce who had been invited onto the morning show to discuss Antiques Roadshow. And those watching at home saw Naga scold the journalist for “bringing the tone of down” when discussing a toilet matter.
Antiques Roadshow is currently taking a break from its usual 8pm slot on Sunday nights, instead, re-runs of old episodes are being show to satisfy fans.
Fiona, who has been presenting the popular television show since 2008 joined Naga and Dan and looked back at an item which shocked her.
“This lady brought along – I don’t know why this has come to mind Naga but I’m going to tell you anyway, I’m already regretting having parted on this story anyway.
“It’s nearly the end of the programme, it’ll be alright! – And anyway, she brought along this loo seat,” Fiona remarked.

“No, keep going! I love it,” Naga argued.
“Queen Victoria, having been of a certain age and having had huge amounts of children, needed to go to the loo quite often.
“And so she had little loos placed around the grounds of Osbourne House,” the journalist continued.
“So she brought along this loo seat and said: ‘I bought this when little bits of land were parcelled off and sold.
“‘And I lived in a little bit of the former grounds of Osbourne House and there was a little loo there, we kept this loo seat as a special souvenir, because obviously it was graced by a royal bottom.
“I said: ‘How extraordinary!’ And I took it from her and we were talking about it and I was looking at it, and I asked the question I should’ve asked in the first place, which is: ‘And where do you keep this now, this royal souvenir?’
“She said: ‘Oh, we still use it, I just took it off the loo this morning!’”
Naga interjected and exclaimed: “Fiona! People are eating their -“

But she was cut off as Fiona added: “But it certainly made me laugh! Made me laugh in grimness at the same time.”
“Fiona Bruce! People are eating their breakfast while they watch this programme,” the BBC Breakfast presenter remarked.
Dan jumped in with: “She did give us a warning in fairness.”
“Look what you’ve brought this programme down to be! Fiona Bruce comes on and brings the tone down! That’s what happens!” Naga said.

And Fiona replied: “Sorry!”
Naga’s appearance comes after Louise Minchin was absent from hosting duties, but this caused a shake-up for the rest of the week.
On Saturday, Rachel Burden joined Charlie on the infamous red sofa.
Meanwhile, Sunday morning saw Chris Mason and Nina Warhurst take over.
