NCIS Hawaii has been a hit for the franchise after making its big debut in September 2021. Agent Jane Tennant (played by Vanessa Lachey) leads the way in crucial investigations, while balancing her home life as a single mum of two. Her onscreen son has spoken to Express.co.uk about what fans can expect when the drama does return to CBS.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from NCIS Hawaii.
When NCIS Hawaii was last seen, it was an epic two-parter airing on Sunday, January 23, and Monday, January 24.
Spies Part One and Spies Part Two saw Jane conflicted as she discovered her friend and mentor Maggie Shaw (Julie White) was a traitor and ended with her arrest.
There was also the matter of her son Alex Tennant (Kian Talan) who was lashing out at her and his dad as they were busy with work and a new family respectively.
So Jane’s emotions were all over the place before the drama went on hiatus.
In terms of what will happen when NCIS Hawaii is back, actor Talan has teased there are going to be even more emotionally-fuelled scenes coming up.
These are going to revolve around Jane’s family and in particular her son Alex.
Opening up to Express.co.uk, Talan said: “You’ll definitely see the relationship between Jane and Alex grow, they kind of find common ground.
“But you also get to see how the dad plays a picture in this family.
“And there’s some intense stuff coming, let me tell you.”
Unfortunately, it’s going to be a while before the next episode airs on CBS.
NCIS Hawaii was last seen at the end of January and hasn’t returned to its usual time slot on a Monday night.
Much like NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles and various other shows on the network, the schedule has been shaken-up.
This is because of the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing which CBS is covering every day.

This means that there is a delay in NCIS Hawaii returning for its next instalment.
However, there is no need to worry as a return date has already been announced.
NCIS Hawaii season one, episode 14, will air on Monday, February 28, on CBS.
As of yet, a description for the instalment hasn’t yet been released.
Speaking on what she loves about her role as Jane to CBS NY, Lachey said: “She’s leading 44 special agents but she’s always thinking about her kids and always puts them first. She has a love of country and she honours her country.
“At the same time at the end of the day, she’s a vulnerable woman who just wants to love. There’s a lot about her I love and that’s why I fell in love with this character.
“When I got the job I completely broke down because I said to myself, I can do this, I am her, I believe in her, I know what she stands for. I felt like this is me.”
NCIS Hawaii continues on Monday, February 28, on CBS in America. A UK release date hasn’t been announced.
