New Love Island bombshell Leah already knows islander after secretly meeting before show | The Sun

NEW Love Island bombshell Leah Taylor’s arrival will come as a shock to one Islander in particular – because they’re mates on the outside.

Leah and Molly Marsh have been friends for years after meeting through their work as influencers.

They were both managed by the same agency, so attended a string of events together including Molly Mae Hague’s Beauty Works launch and are still close.

A source said: “Part of being an influencer means meeting lots of people at events but Molly and Leah became actual friends.

“Molly will be shocked to see Leah come in but it’ll be great for her to have some support.

“She’ll be able to rely on Leah for a real opinion on her current love triangle with Mitchel and Zach.”

Molly isn’t Leah’s only link to Love Island.

The former dancer and model, 27, dated former show hunk Danny Williams, 26, and is best friends with series legend Maura Higgins, 32, who both took part in the reality TV series back in 2019.

Danny and Leah began dating back in November 2020 and were spotted together in January last year on a winter getaway to Iceland.

It is not clear when they broke up but they no longer follow each other on Instagram.

Maura thew her support behind Leah on the social media site yesterday, commenting beneath Love Island's announcement of her villa debut: "YESSSSSSS."

Leah opened up on her friendship with Irish star Maura in her pre-vila interview.

Speaking ahead of the show, Leah said of her favourite ever series moment: "My favourite thing I’ve ever watched is Maura’s [Higgins] best bits, she’s one of my best friends so we watched it together one night and couldn’t stop laughing, she’s hilarious."

Leah was introduced last night alongside a second stunning bomb, Charlotte Sumner, 30.

Her arrival comes as the villa was divided as the girls fumed over Zach's treatment of Catherine.

He opted to kiss Molly during the challenge, blindsiding the Irish stunner.

"I have never just been one to play things safe" Zach later told the boys. "I'm a ballsy guy, I take risks."

"I want a man, not a boy," Catherine said in the beach hut. "That's boy behaviour."

Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
