STRUGGLING to cope with his motor neurone disease symptoms, Paul Foreman faces another setback next week.
The Coronation Street favourite played by Peter Ash is left in a potentially dangerous situation when he collapses alone.
Things took a turn for the builder earlier this year when he was diagnosed with a life-shortening condition, motor neurone disease (MND).
After struggling to cope with the initial symptoms of his illness, Paul has had to accept the idea that he will, one day, lose complete control of his body as the disease takes over.
Throughout his ordeal, he's received the support of his loved ones, including fiancé Billy Mayhew (played by Daniel Brocklebank) and has also met a woman named Shelly who is suffering from MND herself.
But with his life on the line, Paul receives a letter offering an appointment with the palliative nurse in upcoming scenes due to air on ITV next week.

Paul tries to make light of it but Billy worries that he’s bottling up his feelings.
Meanwhile discussing it with Shelly, Paul realises just how ill she’s become.
Things are unfortunately set to go from bad to worse in later scenes when Paul struggles to walk.
And when Billy suggests he tries the wheelchair, Paul categorically refuses, unable to accept that his body is shutting down progressively.
