Piers Morgan threatens to spill secrets on his ITV co-stars TONIGHT as he denies it's 'one big, happy family' after boycotting NTAs

PIERS Morgan has threatened to spill secrets on his ITV co-stars TONIGHT as he denies it's 'one big, happy family' after boycotting the NTAs.

The 54-year-old revealed he wouldn't be attending tonight's ceremony at London's O2 Arena on today's Good Morning Britain.

Despite the show being up for an award, Piers plans to stay home and elaborated on his reasons on Twitter.

After a fan said she was gutted she wouldn't get to see him on the red carpet, he replied: "Sorry Nina, but I’d honestly rather garotte myself than have to sit through another Ant-Dec-Holly-Phil carve up again. "But I will be live tweeting from my home… and I suspect in a not entirely sycophantic ‘one big happy ITV family’ way…"

In a tweet later this afternoon, Piers shared snaps of him with Ant and Dec and one of their many NTAs as well as him with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, trying to steal theirs.

He captioned the pictures: "So sad I can’t be at the NTA awards tonight. Unfortunately I will lying on my sofa at home instead – watching Groundhog Day.

"But best of luck to @antanddec & @hollywills @Schofe as they try to look surprised when they win again for the 45th consecutive year."

However, Piers later seemed to regret his decision to stay home after his co-host Susanna Reid posted a glamorous picture of her red carpet look.

Wearing a low cut red sequin dress and perfect make up, Susanna wrote: "Got my face & sparkles on #NTAs."

Piers replied: "Blimey…I may have been a little hasty with my boycott."

During his many rants on today's show, Piers said: "The winners have to be Holly and Phil and Ant and Dec. I'm not saying they fix, but they have the same agent."

He added: “It’s important that they win not least for their gigantic egos.”

The National Television Awards air tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
