THE Pussycat Dolls have horrified parents after putting on what one called a "singing strip show" on breakfast TV.
Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bacha scandalised some viewers after performing on Australia's Sunrise.
Wearing their usual skimpy outfits and fishnet tights, they strutted about the stage with Nicole telling the crowd: "We're here to start your morning off right. Feeling real strong, real sexy inside."
But one viewer wrote: "Uncomfortable explaining to kids why a singing strip show is on.. because that's what every little girl should aspire to."
Another posted: "I am sorry but not much dancing to me it was more about sex I think they are all too old for this not impressed especially for a family show."
A third batted away the idea their dance moves were empowering, saying: "I don't think dressing like a stripper is all that empowering. Becoming a doctor, lawyer or CEO is empowering."
However, the remarks – left on Sunrise's Facebook page – weren't all bad, with one writing: "What an awesome performance. Great job!"
The Pussycat Dolls are well used to attracting complaints with their raunchy shows on TV.
Their performance on X Factor: Celebrity in December last year was hit with 419 complaints after parents branded it a "strip show".
A further 68 viewers objected when the band appeared on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway – even though the hosts held up "censored" signs during the routine.
However, Ashley hit back at the complainers insisting the group's stage looks celebrate "femininity" and "women".
The Strictly Come Dancing star said: "We are wearing costumes. And they are sassy and fierce. We are owning our femininity and celebrating ourselves as women."
Sunrise is an Australian breakfast show programme that airs from 5.30am to 9am, with the Pussycat Dolls performing live outside in Sydney's Martin Place.
They performed their 2005 Don't Cha before being interviewed by hosts David Koch and Natalie Barr.
