REAL Housewives star Teresa Giudice’s dad blames Joe for his own deportation.
Dad Giancito Gorga criticized Joe Guidice for not becoming a US citizen after decades of being in the country.
After a tense phone conversation between Teresa and Joe in the latest episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Giancito said: “I slap your husband.”
“He never did nothing right, he did everything wrong!”
“Six times I told him, ‘Go make a citizen.’ ‘Yeah yeah, I’ll go’ — he never did.”
“He gotta blame himself.”
Joe was calling from a correctional center in Pennsylvania, operated by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
During the call, he told Teresa about how he was feeling, he said: “I’m going on 38 months in this c**p!”
“They want to separate us now, we’re married 20 years.”
“We got four kids, alright? They want to destroy four kids.”
He continued:. “I’m here now and I’m getting deported and that’s all there is to it. It’s over.”
“I don’t see anybody in here walking out. They’re all getting deported.”
“I’m over it. I’d rather be out and see you while I can than be sitting in this friggin’ junk hole.
“At this point, I don’t care where the hell I go. … I’m going to fight it out a little while later, and then I’m done. That’s it.”
Teresa was also frustrated, she said: “The phone calls are just getting very draining.”
“I can’t take all this drama.”
She also mentioned that he needed to serve his time.
She said: “We don’t want him to suffer but he’s put us through all this, so he needs to sit there now as long as it takes and fight, especially for his daughters.”
Joe had been detained in this ICE facility since March, after completing a 41-month sentence for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud — a charge he accepted to avoid deportation back to Italy.
However, as of October, he was sent back to Italy, where he is currently working to help support his children.
He will remain in Italy, waiting for a court decision on whether he’ll be permitted back into the country or permanently deported.
Teresa has mentioned that she would support her daughters if they decide to move to Italy to be with their father.
On the season 10 premiere of RHONJ, Teresa explained that her husband was born in Italy and his parents relocated to the United States when he was one year old.
He never became a U.S. citizen.
