Riverdale’s Jughead Jones (played by Cole Sprouse) seems to have escaped death far too many times already this season. So far in season four Jughead has escaped being buried alive among a number of other chilling pranks by his creepy classmates at Stonewall Prep school. Now, one fan suspects that Jughead has made the whole flash forward death plot up himself – here’s how.
Riverdale fans were shocked to see Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) pointed out in a lineup for Jughead’s murder in a haunting flash forward.
In the lead to the midseason finale, it was eased that Betty is responsible for Jughead’s death, with Archie and Veronica as witnesses.
It seems Jughead’s classmates are more than likely to have something to do with this.
However, one fan thinks the plot has all been made up by Jughead for one of his books.

Posting on Reddit, one fan said: “So this whole Jughead is dead plot happened cause Cole didn’t want to appear for a scene that was being shot.
“With that being said, at last minute the writers chose to create this whole Jughead is missing/ dead plot.
“But so far it’s only happening for that contest that Jughead won.
“So I wouldn’t be shocked if the season ended with a time jump and it was revealed that everything that happened was a book that Jughead wrote called Riverdale.
“And this whole Jughead is dead scenario was added cause Jughead was struggling to write something more interesting.”
Has Jughead’s death plot been invented by the character himself?
Another fan reminded viewers that the original theme for the school writing contest was the perfect murder.
They added: “I‘m saying he‘s trying to write the perfect murder by writing his own.”
