Did Eddie just become a doctor?
Ronda Rousey should have stuck to WWE wrestling and UFC fighting: Ryan Murphy’s world of “9-1-1” has truly endless dangers. On Monday, her Fox TV partner Eddie Diaz (Ryan Guzman) saves a young boy from delayed secondary drowning, which impresses the “9-1-1” rookie, who seems pleased to not be “getting rid of” Diaz “anytime soon.”
Eddie’s moment of quick-thinking, diagnosis and heroism in the emergency room earns him an on-the-spot gig as a paramedic, though we’re not sure that’s quite how it works in real life.

We’ve watched it a bunch of times, and still want to know what was in the boy’s mouth. Never mind, no we definitely don’t.
Fox’s “9-1-1” hails from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear.
The procedural drama explores the high-pressure experiences of police officers, firefighters and dispatchers who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives.
“9-1-1” stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause and Jennifer Love Hewitt, and features Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Rockmond Dunbar and and Guzman.
New “9-1-1” episodes air Mondays at 8/7c on Fox.
