1. Amy is targeted during a night out

Following her 18th birthday and a poignant surprise from her grandfather Ken, Amy (portrayed by Elle Mulvaney) attends the Valentine's dance alongside her friends.

The group agree to meet up with Amy's boyfriend Jacob (Jack James Ryan) outside of a night club.

But the night turns sour as Amy feels increasingly woozy upon their arrival before suddenly collapses.

Panic ensues as Jacob places the teen in the lateral security position.

Amy is taken to hospital, where it's revealed that she has been spiked with GHB, a rapist's drug of choice.

There is no doubt in her father Steve McDonald's (Simon Gregson) eyes.

In his eyes, and due to his criminal past, Jacob can be the only one responsible.

However, doctors and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) go on to tell him that Amy was saved by the security position she was laid out in.

Is Jacob really the one to blame?

2. Max cracks the case

Weatherfield residents are horrified to learn of Amy's spiking ordeal.

Among them, one person may already be on to the culprit without even knowing it.

While attending the Valentine's dance, Max Turner (Paddy Bever) films the evening but leaves the event disappointed.

Unbeknownst to him at the time, the teen caught the person responsible for Amy's spiking on film.

His adoptive father David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) is shocked, thrown into terrible memories of his own rape ordeal, leading to him demanding that Max stays careful.

Max soon downloads the footage, urged by teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

The Weatherfield trouble maker is shocked by what he sees and when David returns home with a police officer, he hands over his camera, which has now become a valuable piece of evidence in the investigation.

Who did Max catch red-handed?

3. Jacob gets arrested

After being spiked, Amy notices that her father Steve raises his guard immensely in front of Jacob, even forbidding him to ever see her again.

Her outspoken nature leads her to stand up to him, making it clear that seeing Jacob only relies on her.

Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is shocked to hear that Amy would willingly be associated with someone who groomed her cousin, Simon (Alex Bain), mere months earlier.

Amy is berated by Leanne who is set on protecting her son Simon from Jacob.

Initially unfazed, Amy is shocked when he receives a text telling her that Jacob was arrested for supplying fake IDs.

She learns that Simon is responsible for Jacob's arrest.

Overwhelmed by the harsh reality of loving a criminal, Amy invites Jacob in her backyard and tells him she has made the decision to end things.

How will Jacob react?

4. Lydia steps up her plan

While Amy deals with matters of the heart, another member of her family has more serious trouble looming on the horizon.

The target of a horrific intimidation campaign alongside his wife Sarah, Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) is desperate to unmask his mystery enemy.

But ITV viewers already know who is set on making his life a hell: none other than his former girlfriend and Corrie newcomer Lydia Chambers (Rebecca Ryan).

Ready to terrorise Adam and Sarah (Tina O'Brien) a little while longer, Lydia steps up her plan at the factory.

The Underworld PA receives a parcel with sexy lingerie.

In front of Sarah, whom she has managed to befriend against all odds, Lydia claims the parcel comes from her ex and that she is confused by his mixed signals.

Sarah gets a call from Adam who announces to her she will be alone for Valentine's Day.

Later on, the factory receives a call as Lydia claims to have come down with a bad case of food poisoning.

But could this be a ruse to keep the attention away from her as she plans another nasty surprise for Adam and Sarah?

Could she also be trying to wreak havoc in another Weatherfield couple?

5. Daisy and Daniel make a decision

The chemistry is undeniable between Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Daniel and after breaking up with Lydia, the teacher could be tempted to take things to the next level.

Confessing to Daisy that he did push Max Turner down the stairs, Daniel spends more time with the Rovers barmaid.

During the Valentine's dance, the pair enjoy some time alone and kiss in the backroom of the pub before blowing out the candle and heading upstairs.

Later on, Daisy and Daniel decide to give their relationship another try.

But is this happily ever after for the couple?

Could Lydia get involved?

6. Sally feels left out

Coronation Street stalwart and Dancing on Ice contestant Sally Dynevor could turn her back to Weatherfield.

On-screen, her character Sally Metcalfe struggles with her mother-in-law being so present in her home as her other half recovers from heart surgery.

Sally first suggests a naughty game of landlords and tenants to her husband Tom (Joe Duttine) but is left furious when Elaine (Paula Wilcox) gets involved.

The latter points out that Tim needs to relax and that any sex should be out of the question as he does so.

Elaine reveals that she has signed up for a course on heart health as Sally despairs, understanding that she has no plans to leave as of yet.

Matters only get worse when she finds out that her sister Gina is not well.

Sally is pushed by Elaine to make family come first.

As Elaine and Tim look forward to their afternoon around a board game, Sally grows increasingly resentful and feels put to the side.

7. Joseph's grandmother Linda returns

Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) turns a new leaf next week and forgives Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) for her involvement in Joseph's disappearance.

But he is soon taken aback by Linda (Jacqueline Leonard) calling at No.5.

Joseph's maternal grandmother hasn't been seen on the cobbles since her last appearance in March, 2015.

She set out for a new life in Portugal and took care of Joseph following his mother Katy Armstrong's death in a car accident, in October, 2017.

Chesney then took his son in with him, two years before welcoming quadruplets with Gemma.

Linda suggests to Chesney that it must be hard for him to cope with five kids but he assures her that it's a doddle while Joseph stares at him with incredulity.

When she goes to the Rovers, she is met with a flirtatious Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin).

After Bernie makes a derisory comment, he proceeds to tell Linda all about Joseph's disappearance.

He also tells her all about Bernie trying to steal the reward money, put up in exchange of the boy's safe return home.

Linda is fuming and rushes to No.5.

Could her involvement trigger Joseph's imminent departure from the cobbles?
