Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) have been through a lot in Emmerdale, after they lost baby Grace in devastating scenes last year, but there could be more heartache ahead for the pair in the coming episodes, as a series of unfortunate events result in Paddy making a huge mistake — and it’s one that could cost he and Chas everything.
Paddy is concerned about the wellbeing of mate Marlon (Mark Charnock) who — after a visit form the police — is seemingly in a bad way, and thus he resolves to take his pal out for a drive with baby Eve in the back seat.
Problems ensue, as — during the ride — Marlon begins to feel unwell, as he experiences a dull ache in his arm.
However, Paddy’s worried when his mate reveals the extent of the pain he’s feeling, and thus he comes to believe he’s having a heart attack.
They race to the hospital, and two paramedics help Marlon, but little does Paddy know he’s left baby Eve alone asleep in the car.
The realisation eventually dawns on him, and he speeds to his car, but he’s horrified to realise that Eve is missing.
Will Eve be found safe and sound? Or have Paddy and Chas lost her forever?
Later, Chas berates him and he’s wracked with guilt over what has transpired, while social services are seemingly going to get involved.
One to watch: Thursday 19 March at 8pm on ITV.
