Joe Swash makes appearance on The NetMums Podcast
Former EastEnders star Joe Swash admitted that Stacey Solomon’s support through his new documentary meant a lot as he found it “hard to deal with”.
The 60-minute documentary follows Joe as he decides to explore the stories of teens in care over the age of 16.
Joe was first introduced to fostering 15 years ago when his mother first began to get into foster care and kickstarted the same passion in him which his mother also shares.
Stacey and Joe have six children collectively together and have opened up about fostering in the future.
Joe recently opened up to Express.co.uk and other press about how integral Stacey has been as a support system for Joe after finding he would bring home a lot of his work.

Touching on how his wife was a support to him during the filming of the show, he highly praised: “Stacey was amazing and Stacey has watched what my mum has done.
“Me and Stacey have been together a long time now and she has watched what my mum has done and she has watched Daniel’s journey.
“His progress from someone who really struggled with basic things to someone who is now in university and is doing amazing stuff so she has been a massive support.
“And I would come home with a lot of it, a lot of baggage, I would come home and talk to her about the people I met and the circumstances and what I had seen to get it off my chest.

“It was hard to deal with and I just felt so bad, I wanted to do more but there was nothing else I could do apart from bring them home and adopt them.”
The aim of the documentary is for Joe to highlight the issues of teens in care and spend time with those who are currently in residential children’s homes.
Throughout the series, Joe spends time with the teens who are at different stages in their lives in care, some in foster and some who have left at 18 and trying to make it alone.
Joe also decided that he wanted to meet with the experts and policymakers to ask what they were doing to fix the system which he feels to be falling apart and leaving young people vulnerable.
Joe Swash: Teens in Care begins Tuesday 11th July from 9pm on BBC One.
