Strictly Come Dancing stars Kai Widdrington and AJ Odudu have finally opened up about their dance on Saturday, which saw AJ call Kai "baby".
Hidden microphone recordings posted to the programme’s official Instagram account revealed AJ told her partner: "Sorry baby!" after a blunder which saw her slip on her dress during a paso doble.
During a drop, AJ was left almost lying on the floor as Kai leaned over her, as Kai said: "Well done."
And the dance eventually landed them at the bottom of the leaderboard, despite an impressive Strictly stint so far.
Appearing on spin-off show It Takes Two on Tuesday, the pair finally addressed what went wrong.
As host Rylan Clark addressed the pair: "When I saw that you were bottom of the leaderboard, jaw hit the floor. To me, it was intense and I loved it," AJ admitted she had a "lovely time" during the dance.
She responded: "I genuinely had such a lovely time dancing with Kai as always but I'm not gonna lie, I was one slip away from landing face first on the judging panel. I thought, uh oh, we're going here. So just be able to recover from that, I was so relieved at the end."
She added: "It did throw me a little bit and I think even seeing Kai's face, I think he was ready to leave me there for a second.
"I think just genuinely to get through the dance I was so relieved but maybe that was something that then threw me a little bit but honestly I was really proud of that dance."
And ever the supportive partner, Kai chimed in: "Slips happen, live TV and all that, but the fact you got all the routine without making any mistakes is amazing anyway.
"All the pros came up to her after the show and said, that was amazing considering everything that happened. It's not nice to be at the bottom, but we recovered and we carried on and got through it.
"From being at the bottom and see the voting public pick us up from the bottom of the leaderboard and put us straight through to Musicals week, I am so thankful and so buzzing.
"Genuinely, that has given me the energy and the buzz I need to get through to next week."
Kai admitted he’d even had "a little cry" after the routine, explaining: "I had a little cry after and everything because I was ready to dance again, I was practising the dance steps in my head.
"Then to get that result and realise I was through to next week, I sighed the deepest sigh of relief and was so grateful."
Next week AJ and Kai will once again take to the dance floor, this time to perform a ballroom dance along to Edelweiss from The Sound of Music.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6:45pm on BBC One.
