Angela Rippon spills Strictly Come Dancing secret

Strictly Come Dancing star Nigel Harman has revealed who he wants to avoid in the dreaded dance-offs.

The Casualty star is one of the 15 celebrities taking part in this year’s series alongside the likes of Adam Thomas, Zara McDermott, Bobby Brazier and Ellie Leach.

This weekend, viewers will get to see a glimpse of what’s to come across the next few months as the stars get matched into their professional partners for the series.

However, it looks as though one person is already leaving the contestants impressed with their skills after group rehearsals.

Speaking to the press at a recent event, Nigel Harman confessed who he was blown away by.

Speaking to press including Express.co.uk, he dished: “We did a Charleston move on the day. We all got together, and it didn’t look good on me. But Rippon…”

Sitting alongside Amanda Abbington, the actress interjected to share her thoughts on Angela Rippon.

She commented: “She doesn’t break a sweat. But she’s amazing!”

Speaking about how long he’d want to stay on the show, Nigel admitted he wants to stay long enough to learn a few skills.

Although it appears he’s worried about going head-to-head with Angela after her impressive moves.

He added: “Ultimately, it all depends on who you get in the dance-off. I mean, if you get Rippon in the dance-off, you’re out!”

Angela is the oldest person to take part in the BBC competition at the age of 78, however, she’s quickly turning into the frontrunner with many fans.

The latest odds from BetVictor reveal the broadcasting icon is 9/1 favourite to win, making her one of the top celebrities in line to take home the glitterball.

However, storming ahead with odds at 3/1 is EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier.

Speaking about joining the show, the 20-year-old said: “I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly line-up.

“I can’t wait to start training like a professional dancer and adding a few moves to my locker. I’m looking forward to performing in front of everyone, it’s going to be so much fun!”
