Strike hasn’t been on BBC One for the past two years but finally, it has returned for a new season. Based on Robert Galbraith’s fifth book Troubled Blood, Cormoran Strike (played by Tom Burke) visits his family in Cornwall when he is approached by a woman who wishes to hire him to investigate the disappearance of her mum. Here’s everything there is to know about the cast of Strike in episode two.
Who stars in episode 2 of Strike: Troubled Blood?
Luca Ricci – Jacob James Beswick and Daniel Peacock
Gangster Luca is suspected of having something to do with Margot (Abigail Lawrie) going missing and, at the time, was dating Gloria Conti (Jessica Impiazzi).
Fast-forward to the present day, and Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger) come face-to-face with Luca and start to ask him some all-important questions.
1970s Luca is played by actor Jacob James Beswick who most recently starred in Andor and plays Giovanni in ITVX’s A Spy Among Friends.
Present-day Luca, on the other hand, is portrayed by Daniel Peacock who used to present The Comic Strip Presents…
Nico Ricci – Andy de la Tour
Strike and Robin don’t think Luca committed the crime alone and think his dad Nico also had something to do with the woman’s disappearance.
Now in a care home, gangster Nico isn’t as powerful as what he once was but does this make him any less dangerous?
He is played by actor Andy de la Tour who has been in a number of well-known onscreen projects over the years.
Some of these include Notting Hill, The Confessions, Roman Polanski’s Oliver Twist and TV’s The Young Ones, Bottom and The Brief.
Gloria Conti – Jessica Impiazzi and Cherie Lunghi
Gloria Conti was a receptionist at St John’s medical practice when Margot went missing.
She was also dating Luca in the 1970s and knew that he was up to no good.
The young version of Gloria is played by Jessica Impiazzi who has been in Keep Calm and Carry On and Override but was previously a reality star on Celebrity Big Brother and Ex on the Beach.
The older Gloria is portrayed by Cherie Lunghi who has been in Back to the Secret Garden, Patrick, A Murder is Announced, Excalibur and The Canterville Ghost, just to name a few.
