TAYLOR SWIFT has revealed starving herself to the point of collapse during a crippling battle with an eating disorder.
The Grammy award- winner, who also shrunk down to a UK size zero, made the admission in new Netflix film Miss Americana.
Taylor has hinted at suffering with insecurities about her figure.
But in the 86-minute film, she gives a no-holds-barred account.
She said: “It’s not good for me to see pictures of myself every day . . . It’s only happened a few times, and I’m not in any way proud of it.
“I feel like I looked like my tummy was too big, or . . . someone said that I looked pregnant . . . and that’ll just trigger me to just starve a little bit — just stop eating.”
Pictures of Taylor from her 1989 album era, between 2014 and 2015, are then shown, revealing just how thin she became.
When she performed while she was ill, Taylor said: “I thought I was supposed to feel like I was going to pass out.”
While those around her tried to help, she insisted she was taking care of herself.
Taylor revealed her response would be: “What are you talking about?
“Of course I eat. I exercise a lot.”
She added: “I did exercise — a lot. But I wasn’t eating.”
Taylor said she has now accepted she is a UK size 10 but admitted her relationship with food was still centred around a cycle of “praise and punishment”.
She said of her decision to speak out about suffering from anorexia in Miss Americana: “I’m pretty uncomfortable talking about it.
“But in the context of every other thing that I was doing or not doing in my life, I think it makes sense.”
She’s incredibly brave for being so honest.
