The Great Heist season two could be a possibility after fans responded well to the debut series on Netflix. The Colombian mini-series first landed on the streaming platform on August 14, 2020, and it has proved popular. Express.co.uk has everything you need to know about season two of The Great Heist.
Will there be another series of The Great Heist?
The first season of The Great Heist was made up of six episodes, all of which are about 40 minutes long.
The Colombian mini-series is based on a real-life incident where a gang of thieves stole £26million from a branch of a Colombian bank.
As the series has only just landed on the streaming platform, it is too early to say whether there will be a season two.
If the series was given the green light for a renewal, fans are not likely to see a new season until the end of 2021 at the earliest.

Who will be in the cast of The Great Heist season 2?
The cast of season one includes Marcela Benjumea, Paula Castaño, Andres Parra, Christian Tappan and Waldo Urrego.
Parra plays Chayo, who is one of the professional thieves in the true-crime series.
Tappan plays Molina, who is quick to come on board Chayo’s plot to raid the bank.
Benjumea plays Dona K, another member of the gang who helps to steal the cash.
Castaño stars as Carmen, and other cast members include Katherine Velez as Romy and Juan Sebastian Calero as El Sardino.
Is there a trailer for The Great Heist season 2?
As the first season has only just arrived on Netflix it is too early for a season two trailer to be released.
Netflix usually releases trailers a few weeks before a new season is due to air.
Fans will have to wait until the end of 2021 to see a trailer for season two, that is if the series gets renewed.
Fans can still watch the trailer for the first season, which sees Chayo reveal the plan to his friends.
He tells them they are breaking into the Valledupar Bank of the Republic, and they are seen fighting security guards to gain access.

What will happen in The Great Heist season 2?
As the series is based on true events, there is a chance season two will continue to follow the events after the heist.
As part of the real-life story, the Colombian bank offered a reward for information about the gang involved.
A couple of the gang members ended up handing themselves in to the police, but it still caused financial mayhem for businesses in Northern Colombia.
Season two may follow the impact the heist had on the wider public if it gets the go-ahead.
The second season could also delve deeper into the personal lives of the gang members, and what possessed them to become criminals.
Fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the new series, with one saying: “Started the six-episode Spanish mini-series ‘The Great Heist’ on Netflix.
“Gripping stuff. Based on true events, it tells the story of a gang who managed to pull off one of the biggest heists at a bank in Colombia in ’94. Go watch.”
The series has been described as very similar to the popular Spanish series, Money Heist, which also airs on Netflix.
Another fan said: “The Great Heist on Netflix is not as colourful as Money Heist but equally thrilling. Chayo is quite a character.”
