That’s So Raven alum Raven-Symoné announced her marriage to Miranda Maday on June 18, 2020. “I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home,” she captioned a romantic shot of the pair. “I love you Mrs. Pearman-Maday! Let’s tear this world a new a**hole!!! I’s married NOW.”
Maday, who wore a white jumpsuit at the wedding while Symoné sported an identical outfit in black, captioned a boomerang of the pair kissing, “My wife for life.”
Before their wedding announcement, neither Maday nor Symoné had posted about the relationship on their respective social media accounts. Talk about a major surprise! And given the unexpected nature of the news, it’s fair some fans want to know more about Maday’s background and life.
So who did the actor wed in a “small” ceremony, as she noted on Instagram? Here’s everything you need to know about Raven-Symoné’s wife, Miranda Maday.
Miranda Maday has a long list of accomplishments
Raven-Symoné opened up about her sexuality in 2016, noting how she had felt attracted to women from an early age. The Cosby Show alum initially tried to push those feelings away, that is until she attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. “I don’t care anymore because I fell in love, and I was kind over the industry,” she said in the docuseries, It Got Better, about her liberating college experience. “I wanted to retire. I said if I’m not going to be in the industry, then I can come out. So I did that.”
After coming out, Symoné had a longterm relationship with model AzMarie Livingston. The pair broke up in 2015, and the former View co-host has since found love with Miranda Maday, a social media manager, per her LinkedIn profile. Maday has also worked as a personal assistant for high-profile clients and was a production assistant at the start of her career.
Making matters even more impressive? It appears Maday has a career in doulaship. “As a doula I am privileged to witness the incredible strength each woman embodies while bringing their baby earth-side (c sections count too!) and the fierce love, sacrifice and work it takes to raise a child,” she wrote in 2019 Mother’s Day post for her mom.
It sounds like Symoné has an awesome partner by her side. Congrats to the happy couple!
