The Walking Dead star left ‘gagging’ on set by Norman Reedus after revolting walker scene backfired – The Sun

THE Walking Dead star IronE Singleton reveals he was "gagging" thanks to a set mishap and badly time joked from co-star Norman Reedus.

Singleton, 44, played survivor Theodore 'T-Dog' Douglas in the earlier seasons of the zombie apocalypse drama.

In one particularly gross scene, survivors including T-Dog and others decide to fish out a dead zombie from a water well.

The group of survivors must retrieve the bloated carcass before it contaminates the drinking supply at the farm where they are taking refuge.

But as they start to pull the disgusting body up, it snaps and half of the zombie's body ends up falling back down the well.

Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the AMC drama, and wasn't in the scene decided to crack a disgusting joke.

According to Singleton, Reedus said: "Wait, is that poop?" of the zombies tangling entrails.

"It was so nasty," Singleton recalled during a video conference at Wizard World.

"I was gagging because we were out in a dirt field and there was a lot of dust being kicked up after every take, and then that mixed with the fact that this zombie was so disgusting."

"Billy [Gierhart], who was our director on that show, he walked over to me, and I couldn't stop gagging throughout the scene.

"He said, 'IronE, I like the gag, but let's try something else. Let's do it a little differently.' I was like, 'I can't help it, man! The dust is in my throat, I'm looking at this disgusting walker.'"

Singleton's disgusting anecdote comes as Reedus teases a 'Game of Thrones' style battle in the season 10 finale of the show.

He told Entertainment Weekly what fans can expect from the delayed finale.

"There were huge battle scenes until the wee hours of the morning consistently, and it looks so grand on an epic scale. Those battle scenes are going to be legendary.”

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Neegan in the AMC series, said earlier this month: "It will be cool having a one-off, almost a Walking Dead movie in the middle of the season, I guess."

The actor added: "I think obviously things are going to come to some sort of a head with the Beta and his character.

"We know he’s coming to wipe everybody out with his zombie horde so hopefully we’ll see that come to a head at some point.

"There has to be some sort of battle. Greg Nicotero directed it, so it’s going to be a big massive episode for sure."

The Walking Dead season 10 finale is expected to drop on AMC and NOWTV later this year.
