This Morning: Josie Gibson cries at live romantic proposal
This Morning presenter Josie Gibson is believed to be wanted to star in this year’s series of both Strictly Come Dancing and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
The 38-year-old has caught the attention of the bosses of the two popular reality series after becoming one of ITV’s rising stars.
Although she’s been in the public eye since winning Big Brother in 2010, her increasing presence on This Morning has gone down well with fans, making her a key celebrity wanted for the flagship shows.
A source told The Sun: “Obviously, she already knows a lot of the executives at ITV and it makes sense for the channel to recruit in-house for their biggest, most-watched reality show of the year.
“But BBC bosses are desperate for her to appear on Strictly as she’s exactly the kind of warm, engaging person they love, one who will always be a hit with viewers.”

However, it’s believed Josie is currently deciding whether she wants to tackle stomach-churning challenges or get her dancing shoes on.
The source added: “In terms of scheduling, it is easier for her to appear on I’m A Celeb . . . and she’d probably be a big hit with other celebrities in the jungle Down Under.
“But in terms of profile, Strictly probably edges it and Josie would love to do a rumba.”
ITV viewers have seen Josie become a regular on This Morning in 2019, initially as a competition winner.

In 2021, she had her first time in the limelight on the daytime show when she was called to stand in for Holly Willoughby at the last minute.
Despite the mum-of-one appearing confident on-screen, that hasn’t always been the case as she detailed how supportive ITV were in handling her nerves.
She told OK! magazine: “They even stuck with me after I had a panic attack in the studio because I was so nervous.
“But they really nurtured me and they’ve been brilliant to me.
“I actually cannot get over it. If someone had told me I’d present one of the biggest daytime TV shows I would have laughed in their face. I feel so grateful and honoured.”
Josie wouldn’t be the first person from the This Morning family to star in I’m a Celeb or Strictly as her friend and co-star Alison Hammond has also appeared on both.
The Birmingham presenter starred in the 14th series of the BBC dance competition in 2014 and went down under in 2010.
This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am
