This Morning star Josie Gibson has reportedly found herself part of a bidding war between two major TV shows.
The presenter, 38, is said to be in talks with bosses for a potential appearance on Strictly Come Dancing and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
The star first graced our TV screens in 2010 when she won Big Brother, but more recently she’s been serving as Holly Willoughby’s co-host on This Morning, following the departure of Phillip Schofield.
Josie has also appeared on a range of mainstream TV shows, including Loose Women, Cooking With The Stars and The Great British Bake Off.
However, a source now claims she could be in the running to add another major TV show her CV, with BBC and ITV both keen to get the star on their biggest shows.
A source told The Sun: "Right now, she's one of the fastest rising stars of morning telly and she has proven incredibly popular with This Morning viewers.
"Obviously, she already knows a lot of the executives at ITV and it makes sense for the channel to recruit in-house for their biggest, most-watched reality show of the year.
But BBC bosses are desperate for her to appear on [I’m A Celeb] as she's exactly the kind of warm, engaging person they love — one who will always be a hit with viewers."
OK! has approached a representative for Josie Gibson for comment.
She may possess obvious confidence as a presenter now, but Josie recently admitted to struggling with nerves when she first started out.
Addressing her time on This Morning in a recent interview with OK!, the star said: “There have been highs and lows, but it’s been a lovely journey.”
She added: “I wasn’t a very good presenter at the start, because I couldn’t see the autocue, but then I had my eyes lasered, and This Morning gave me a chance."
“Fair play to the show – they even stuck with me after I had a panic attack in the studio because I was so nervous. But they really nurtured me and they’ve been brilliant to me.
“I cannot believe I work on This Morning. I actually cannot get over it,” she smiles. “If someone had told me I’d present one of the biggest daytime TV shows I would have laughed in their face. I feel so grateful and honoured.”
