Alison Hammond has revealed that she likes the idea of being in a throuple on This Morning.
The 47 year old told her co-host Dermot O’Leary, 48, that she liked the idea of being in a three-person relationship as then each person could offer something the other lacked.
In a discussion about a new restaurant that caters to throuples, Camilla Tomlin appeared on the show to offer her insight into the relationship dynamic.
She said: “I just don’t get how on the issue of polyamorous relationships, how do people have time?”
As Dermot agreed: “It’s exhausting!”
However, Alison tickled her co-host and guests as she admitted she thought it was "a great idea" and saw the benefits of being in a throuple.
Alison revealed: “Oh I quite like it, I totally get it. One partner gives you something, one partner gives you something else.”
Dermot broke into a smile, as he crossed his legs and listened more intently to Alison he quizzed: “What sort of things?”
Alison began to stumble over her words, as she added: “Well I was thinking one partner might not be very good, at like, um, handy, might not be very handy. You know they might not be very good at -”
“The handy stuff,” Dermot cheekily replied.
Alison continued with the innuendo filled chat and explained: “But the other one might be really good at woodwork and making things.”
Alison smiled: “Do you know what I mean?"
Dermot replied “oh absolutely” before he turned to camera and broke into laughter and raised his eyebrows.
Alison burst into some giggles as Camilla pointed out it might be simpler to be in a monogamous relationship and just know a “handy” man for household jobs.
“You could just have one partner and then get a handy man or woman round to do your shelves Alison, it might be less complicated, it’s just a thought,” Camilla finished.
Alison and Dermot usually host the hit ITV morning show together on Friday, but the duo are filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as they take their annual half term holiday.
This comes after Phil and Holly were reunited on screen after Phillip tested positive for Covid-19 and missed the programme for a week and Holly took a few weeks off to film a new BBC one series, Wim Hof’s Superstar Survival.
