This Morning host Eamonn Holmes turned the big 6-0 this week with wife and co-star Ruth Langsford planning a series of surprises for him – much to his dismay.
Opening today's episode of the ITV daytime favourite, Ruth, 59, spoke of everything she'd sorted out for him, including a trip to Vienna with all the family and a meal with plenty of friends.
However Eamonn, who doesn't like surprises, told viewers: "I've been mugged, basically."
Ruth explained: "The good thing is, Eamonn is very good at surprises and he doesn't like them himself, so it was very hard for me to do a surprise.

"He was really grumpy all week because he was out of control and didn't like it."
They explained that Ruth had asked Eamonn to pack a bag for the weekend but to make sure he included a warm coat.
Football fan Eamonn said: "I honestly thought she was bringing me to Manchester to see United play Villa. Deep in my mind, that's what I thought."
However Ruth said: "I thought I wouldn't enjoy that as much, so we went to Vienna."

Ruth explained Eamonn was a big fan of Christmas and had always wanted to go to the Austrian capital to see the festive decorations.
But there was another surprise, as Ruth had organised for all of Eamonn's children – Niall, Declan, Rebecca and Jack, who he shares with Ruth – to be there too.
Eamonn told viewers: "I was speechless – but we had a fun weekend."
He took to Instagram and shared an adorable photo with Ruth with the caption: "Whisked off by Ruth on a complete mystery trip for my birthday.

Then, on Tuesday on Eamonn's actual birthday, Ruth had organised another surprise for her hubby.
This time it was a meal full of their nearest and dearest – and Eamonn even had a cheeky glass of bubbles to celebrate.
