STRICTLY newcomer Nikita Kuzmin could be in trouble with his girlfriend — as he has yet to return home.
His dancer partner Nicole Wirt is in her native Germany and hoped he would fly back after exiting the ballroom contest.
The Ukrainian Strictly pro, 23, got the boot last week with celeb dance partner Tilly Ramsay — but has yet to arrive.
It comes after months of rumours he had grown close to chef Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, 20.
Insiders say he has not visited his girlfriend of five years due to new quarantine rules which he would have to follow when leaving and entering the UK.
As a result it would mean he would not be available for group rehearsals with the BBC1 show’s Christmas special, which has yet to be filmed.
A show source said of Nikita’s controversial stay-away decision: “It’s raised a few eyebrows, not least Nicole’s.
“She hoped that as soon as Nikita was done with the competition he would be on the first flight to Germany to see her.
“But the new Covid variant, and rules about going in and out of the country and testing, mean he would miss rehearsal time so he’s had to shelve any plans for now.”
Earlier in the series Nikita and Tilly enjoyed a cosy night in together at an apartment.
