What do we know about Dee Dee?

Diana, nicknamed Dee Dee, is the daughter of Ed and Aggie Bailey and the sibling of Michael and James.

But Dee Dee is yet to make an appearance on the cobbles and remains a mysterious off-screen presence.

Shortly after the family moved into the street, Michael had an argument with his mother and said: “I know you don’t want to live here.”

Aggie replied: “Yeah well we don’t have much choice do we.”

Could there be a reason for Dee Dee keeping her distance?

And might she arrive and expose a huge family secret?

What has Corrie boss Ian MacLeod said about Dee Dee’s big debut?

Speaking to Digital Spy in a virtual press conference, Ian MacLeod recently teased that viewers would have to wait a while before Dee Dee appears on screen.

He said: "There are no plans at the moment [to introduce Dee Dee] but I am desperate to meet her as she sounds like a brilliant nightmare! But not at the present time.

"We wanted to make sure that the Baileys we've already met had a chance to bed in, before we hit them with a meteorite from outside," he continued.

"She's certainly on the table and will make an appearance at some point, but there's no immediate plans."

What do we know about the Bailey’s racism storyline?

The Bailey family are at the centre of an unsettling racism storyline as Michael and Ed complete construction work on the restaurant.

But the new manager Don has wasted little time in hurling racist abuse at them as they get on with their jobs.

Upcoming scenes will see Michael grow increasingly frustrated at Don’s bigotry, while Ed and Aggie try and persuade him to keep calm and ignore the situation.

The racism storyline comes at the same time as Ed's other son James' battle with homophobia in football.
