DAVE has had a monumental rise over the last couple of years, from his iconic performance at the BRITs 2020 to the release of his latest album Psychodrama which earned him the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize.
His win at the awards came just moments after he called Boris Johnson "a real racist" during his live performance of the single Black.
Who is Dave?
Dave, 21, born June 5, 1998 is also known as Santan Dave or Dave Santan and is an English rapper, from Streatham, South London.
Dave made his debut appearance on a small platform named Street Starz and later progressed to Black Box, a YouTube channel for freestyle rap.
His collaborator and production partner is 169 Tyrell Paul
Dave has also worked with Fraser T Smith and AJ Tracey.
Drake has also released a remix of one of his tracks.
The rapper's influences are said to include Southern hip hop, grime, and hip hop.
As well as rapping, he also plays piano.
In the middle of his 2019 Glastonbury set, Dave asked for some help from the audience.
"I got this track Thiago Silva," he declared. "Who is sober enough to sing these lyrics along with me?"
Dave singled out a 15 -year-old reveller wearing a Paris Saint-Germain shirt with Silva's name on the back to join him on stage.

Does Dave have a girlfriend?
The rapper isn't dating anyone at the moment.
But like most musicians, clues into their love life are found in there music.
In his 2019 single ‘Professor X’, –the lyrics included: “Any girl that I’m with is a ten, nine, eight, bredrin decent.
“I mean, all of my ex-girls hate me, but how you gonna have my baby, baby? Don’t you know I’m livin’ that, baby boy? Lifestyle everything crazy, if you don’t chat to your guy, your G’ll see.

Who is Dave's brother Christopher?
Dave's older brother Christopher is currently serving a life sentence for his part in a stabbing in London's Victoria Station in 2010.
On his album, Dave describes Christopher as "the only person I ever idolised."
Dave said it was inspired by the therapy his brother is receiving in prison – also known as Psychodrama – where offenders role-play events from their past to help with rehabilitation.
When did he win the Hyundai Mercury Prize?
On September 19, Dave beat the likes of Anna Calvi, The 1975 and Foals for the prestigious 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize with his album Psychodrama.
It's an impressive achievement given that the record is the rapper's debut studio release, which he's also known to have executive produced.
Dave accepted his winner's trophy and received a cheque for a whopping £25,000 before going on to perform his hit single Psycho.
During his acceptance speech, the 21-year-old appeared overwhelmed as he invited his mother to the stage while also thanking his brother Christopher "who inspired the album."
"I don’t know what to say… I want to thank God and I want to invite my mum onto the stage,’ he shared.
"I want to thank everyone that made this happen, I want to thanks all the exceptional musicians that came and performed tonight, I did not expect this. I respect you all so highly."
The judging panel, which included Jorja Smith and Stormzy, was heavily praised for its originality and thought-provoking messages in almost every song.
"Psychodrama is the musical equivalent of a literary masterpiece," the judges gushed.
"A conceptual album about Dave’s experience of growing up in South London, structured in the form of a therapy session, which takes a deeply personal story and gives it universal relevance."
"Psychodrama is a moving, musically sophisticated work that tackles complex themes of identity, class, relationships, and politics and demands total attention from the listener."
"It will have lasting relevance for a generation and underlines the importance of the album as an art form, making it the perfect winner of the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize."
Following its release on March 8, 2019, Psychodrama skyrocketed straight to number on the UK charts, and with his latest achievement, Dave is on his way to superstardom.
