Did your boo, Harry Styles, tell you he’s going to host Saturday Night Live next month? Oh, it was a surprise? How sweet.
For those of you who were unaware, the One Direction alum and Gucci poster child will appear on NBC’s late-night sketch comedy series as both the host and featured musical guest—”double duty” as the musician called it on Twitter. His episode airs on Saturday, November 16 at 11:30 p.m. ET, the show announced this afternoon.
You can watch bae like the supportive significant other you are by following along with the live TV broadcast, or by streaming it live on NBC.com, the NBC app, or digital platforms that offer NBC including Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, AT&T TV Now, Fubo TV, and PlayStation Vue.
Although this will be his first time hosting, Styles has already hit the SNL stage a number of times. He performed as a solo act in 2017 (the year he released his self-titled debut album), and as a member of One Direction in 2012, 2013, and 2014, Deadline reports. For his upcoming gig next month, he’ll likely perform his new single, “Lights Up,” which he dropped on October 10. The timely promo may also hint that new music from Styles is imminent.
Styles will join a growing rank of stars who’ve pulled “double duty” on SNL, serving as both host and musical guest on the same night. Taylor Swift did it in 2009, Bruno Mars did it in 2012, Drake did it in 2016, and Ariana Grande did it the same year. Chance the Rapper is slated to cover both shifts this weekend when he stars in the October 26 episode.
In addition to Styles, Kristen Stewart was also announced as an upcoming host, who will appear on the show with musical guest Coldplay on November 2.
