How did Bonnie Pointer die?

Singer Bonnie Pointer has died aged 69 following a successful music career.

The news of her death was confirmed by Bonnie’s sister Anita, who told TMZ:

“It is with great sadness that I have to announce to the fans of The Pointer Sisters that my sister, Bonnie died this morning.

“Our family is devastated, on behalf of my siblings and I and the entire Pointer family, we ask for your prayers at this time.”

She went on to tell the publication: “Bonnie was my best friend and we talked every day, we never had a fight in our life, I already miss her and I will see her again one day.”

Patricia Eva “Bonnie” Pointer first found fame as part of the girl group The Pointer Sisters during the late 60s.

The Motown group started off with just Bonnie and sibling June, who performed as a duo.

Later on, their other sisters Anita and Ruth joined the band.
