Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion Offer Behind-The-Scenes Look At Making Of ‘WAP’ Video

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion released “Inside the Wap (Part 1),” giving a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the “WAP” video, on Wednesday (September 9).

The nine-and-a-half-minute video starts with Cardi, wearing a black tank and shorts and no make-up, describing a sequence to dancers and Megan, and then shifting to choreography rehearsals. She is seen practicing in a tight corset and at one point, looked out of breath and overwhelmed by the very sexy choreography. She says to her team “I just got jumped guys!”

She then says, “We’ll be back!” and complains about how she’s been struggling to keep her ample cleavage in place during the vigorous dance routines. She is also seen motivating Mulatto, Normani, Sukihana and Rubi Rose for their extra sexy moves.

The visual shows Megan taking two big shots to steel her nerves for the scene where she rocks an Albino Burmese Python around her neck. “They got a big motherf—er out there, like 120 pound,” Megan says, warning a freaked out-looking Cardi that “this snake is big as s–t.”

Cardi is seen appreciating Megan on her performance and singing, “motivation, motivation,” and revealing that she was just waiting for the right partner for nine months. Megan says, “You are the nicest f–king person I know,” recalling the moment Cardi invited her to be part of the project.

“WAP” spent two weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100. It also registered the most first week streams ever and became the most streamed track of 2020 on Spotify and the most streamed song of the week on Youtube in the week of its release.
