Then Christine discusses how her daughter wanted to take her away, but there were times she was unable to go.

Christine explains: “She used to say to me: ‘Oh, I’ve booked this mum, you coming? Come with me.’ Or: ‘We’ll go here, we’ll go there’.

“And I’d say: ‘Oh, I’ve got to work.’ And I did have to work. And I thought: ‘Oh, do you know you just shouldn’t’… All the times you miss with someone.

“And you should just do it, shouldn’t you,” she says holding back tears.

The touching documentary is set to air on Wednesday 17 March on Channel 4 and will explore the life and tragic death of Caroline.

It comes as Christine and Caroline’s twin sister Jody discussed their reasons behind taking part in the film in a question and answer session.

Jody, who recently said Caroline found heartbreak ‘impossible, explained she wasn’t sure about making the film at first.

She said: “I didn’t see a reason to make a film, for me. But, after talking together we sort of came up with one, we thought actually there was a good reason to tell her story.

“She had asked us to tell her story. Quite close to the end, she had actually asked us to help her tell her story.”

Jody also explained how Caroline had been in talks with the producers of her documentary to make a film before her tragic passing.

She said: “We remember her bouncing out of the meeting and she immediately got on the phone to us and said: ‘We’re gonna make this film, you’re all gonna be in it’. She was excited about being able to do it. So we remembered that and when we linked that with the people she had spoken to it seemed like something we just had to do.”
