Donald Trump picked the wrong celebs to target during his weekly Twitter tantrum Sunday night!
The president’s much needed ego boost evidently came as he was watching a town hall about criminal justice on MSNBC, with NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and featuring John Legend.
Right before midnight, an apparently sleepless Trump fired shots at “boring” Legend and his “filthy mouthed” wife Chrissy Teigen because he felt they were getting more credit for supporting criminal justice reform than he was — when, lest we forget, he’s the president!
The Toddler in Chief tweeted:
“I got it done with a group of Senators & others who would never have gone for it… people that had virtually nothing to do with it are taking the praise. Guys like boring musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is – but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed.”
Awww. It’s 11:11 on Sunday night, and the president is in desperate need of an ego stroke. We hope secret service called up Kellyanne Conway for a house visit, because Teigen and Legend were NOT about give it to him.
The power couple responded to Trump’s swipes separately. Addressing her daughter with Legend, the model tweeted:
“Luna, remember the night before your first day of school? When mommy was making your sign and the p**** ass bitch president had his 9th meltdown of the day.”
Just another Sunday night!
The 33-year-old went on to admit she was LOLing at Trump’s shout out because she was not even mentioned in the MSNBC special he was so riled up about. She tweeted:
“The absolute best part of his tweet is I literally didn’t speak in the special, nor was I mentioned. I’m cackling at the pointless addition of me because he cannot not be a bitch.”
She then followed up with:
“No guys no please do not make this trend, for it is my fight with #PresidentP****AssBitch, not yours!!!!!!”
Ha! We love this filthy mouthed woman — and she loves the people in return!
Legend, meanwhile, was much more concerned with Trump’s mental health. Lopping First Lady Melania Trump in on the situation, he tweeted:
“Melania, please praise this man. He needs you… Your country needs you, Melania.”
The Grammy winner also tweeted:
“Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody–ANYBODY–will praise you.”
So dumb! We mean, if it’s praise Donald is seeking, he knows which Trump-ass-kissing network to get it from!
Go put on Fox News and get some sleep, POTUS.
