Wahlberg left a $2,020 tip on his $35.27 bill. The eatery tweeted about the supersized tip, along with a photo of the receipt. On the receipt, Wahlberg scribbled the hashtag 2020tipchallenge. The Blue Bloods star is challenging everyone to give a little extra where they can. The lucky recipient of the tip, Denise Andrews, is reportedly giving back, too. According to The Daily Mail, Andrews shared the wealth by donating some of her earnings.

Wahlberg left a similarly large tip in January 2020

Wahlberg isn’t just a one-off big tipper. The New Kids on the Block frontman left a similarly large tip back in January 2020, hoping to help a waiter start the year off right. Long before the Coronavirus pandemic gripped the United States, Wahlberg dined at IHOP with his wife, Jenny McCarthy.

To spread a bit of holiday cheer, Wahlberg tipped his waitress, Bethany Provencher, $2,020. The New Year’s Day bill was $75.45. According to Page Six, the giant tip helped Provencher furnish her new apartment. In 2017, Wahlberg surprised the waitstaff in a Charlotte, North Carolina eatery. After a trip to the local Waffle House, he left a $2,000 tip for the wait staff.
