Former EastEnders star Melissa Suffield has shared a heart-warming photograph with her fiancé Robert Brendan and their son River after recently reuniting with him after Robert had been away working for five months.
In the photograph, Melissa and Robert can be seen kissing River’s head – evidently pleased to all be back together again.
Melissa shared a sweet second photo that was taken of the three of them just before Robert went away for work.
The 28 year old captioned the pictures: “And he’s home! (Swipe for the last family photo we took before he left over 5 months ago!).
“Time for quality family time, all getting used to each other again (River might start looking less shell shocked soon )- and mid afternoon showers for mama (probably look to do something about those roots too now I don’t have to schedule it alongside childcare…)”.
Robert proposed to Melissa last year and the couple had to postpone their wedding due to coronavirus.
With this in mind, Melissa admitted that she doesn’t know when she and Robert will actually tie the knot.
She toldThe Sun:“God knows when this will happen. We had a party booked, because I’m not massively traditional.
“It’s definitely not going to be a big church wedding with 200 people there, it’s just not my style at all.

“Obviously the party we had booked is not going to happen. When it does go ahead, River will be up there front and centre with us during the service. I like to think of it as creating a family, rather than the joining of two people.”
Melissa, who welcomed baby River in March 2020, has spoken candidly about motherhood and how pregnancy changes your body.
The mum of one shared a snap of her post-baby body in Instagram , and was met with dozens of supportive messages
She wrote alongside the image shared on Monday 27 September: “This is my belly. It doesn’t look how It used to look. First it was quite a bit smaller and smoother, and then it grew my best mate.
“Isn’t that so f******g cool? I bet your bellies are pretty fucking cool too, whether they grew stuff or not. Aren’t bodies wicked? All so different and weird and wonderful- and very powerful.”
One of Melissa’s followers commented: “I love that 'it grew my best mate' I'm using that more often. It's such a beautiful way of looking at it.”
Another penned: “Love this. I used to really dislike my c section 'ledge'… but my second one saved my baby and me so I've learnt to appreciate it”.
