Ferne McCann would be the first to admit she’s been unlucky in love. But that’s all changed since she met boyfriend Lorri Haines. In fact, things are going so well between the pair that we can expect a wedding and babies in the not-too-distant future!
Opening up to OK!, recently, the former TOWIE star, who is now sharing her Essex home with Lorri, revealed, “[Marriage and kids] is definitely something we talk about all the time. Lorri’s the first person I can see having a future with, so those things often come up. And with one of my best friends Danielle [Armstrong] getting married this year – it’s happening all around us.

“Who doesn’t dream of their happily ever after and getting married? Now I’m with him, I can properly live it and imagine that it is going to happen. It’s not just a dream – I feel like it is going to happen.”
This comes as welcome news for Ferne, 31, who has had her ups and downs in the past. She is mum to daughter Sunday, four, whose father Arthur Collins is serving a 20-year prison sentence following an acid attack in 2017.
And while there has had to be some adjustment since Lorri – who has a son from a previous relationship – moved in, Ferne said she’s happier than ever. She even spoke to her pals, sisters Sam Faiers and Billie Shepherd, and sought advice from their mum Suzie Wells about bringing Lorri into Sunday’s life as a father figure.
“We do an amazing scene and a sit-down dinner with Billie and her mum,” Ferne said, as she told us about the new series of her reality show First Time Mum. “For me, my childhood growing up was with my mum and dad and everyone around me seems to have a mum and dad.
“It was really nice to get Suzie’s advice because Billie and Sam’s dad isn’t their biological dad, but has been in their lives ever since they were little. That’s how it almost is going to be with Sunday. It’s nice to get that advice. It’s a really big step.”
Ferne also admitted she’s proud that her ITVBe fly-on-the-wall series represents a “different perspective of families”.
She said, “I just think the 2.4 children doesn’t actually exist. Why people find it so relatable is because from the moment I started filming, we all knew I was going to be a single parent. And the show has evolved with my life, getting into a relationship and introducing that person to my child.”
Ferne met Lorri in Dubai while she was on holiday with Sunday and added that it’s meant his relationship with her daughter has been “organic”.
“Sunday is a tough nut to crack,” Ferne said. “You’ll know if she likes someone and you’ll definitely know if she doesn’t! It’s been me and her for her whole life, so it’s a massive deal.
“There hasn’t been a moment where it’s like, ‘Right I’ll introduce you to Mummy’s boyfriend.’ It’s been really natural.
“She’s quite bossy with him, but he’s used to it. He’s a parent himself and he’s patient with her and she likes him.”
Ferne later joked that she “can easily get lost in the romance and the whole fairy tale” and need to “rein myself in”, but we love seeing her so happy!
