First look at Lisa Faulkner's wedding dress as she marries John Torode

Lisa Faulkner and John Torode are officially married – and they couldn’t be more in love.

The pair tied the knot on Thursday 24 October at Aynhoe Park, Banbury after seven years of dating, and each MasterChef proclaimed they had married the girl/man of their dreams.
Awww.

Lisa, 47, posted a picture of herself holding her new husband’s hand, with John, 54, gazing at her adoringly.

In the picture, the former EastEnders actress wore her beautiful wedding gown, featuring a plain satin skirt and a a high-necked lace overlay with cap sleeves on top of her bodice.

Lisa wore her hair loose and carried a bouquet of multi-coloured roses, while MasterChef judge John was dapper in a navy suit and blue tie.

Faulkner wrote on Instagram: ‘The happiest day of my life!!! Cue the wedding spam for the next few weeks! Apologies in advance. Yesterday I married the man of my dreams @johntorodecooks and we had the BEST Day EVER, filled with all our family and friends and such Love.

‘Thank you @aynhoepark we didn’t want to leave! #allyouneedislove photo courtesy of @jamesfearphotography.’

A host of friends shared their congratulations under the picture, with EastEnders star Luisa Bradshaw White writing: ‘Love u guys so much. It was the beat wedding ever. With genuinely the loveliest people!’ and Amanda Holden adding: ‘Just beautiful it was a lovely lovely day.’

Meanwhile, John also shared his own snap from the day, as he swung around his bride.

He wrote: ‘Officially married the girl of my dreams yesterday @lisafaulknercooks what a day!!’

The wedding was attended by a host of celebrities including Gregg Wallace, Angela Griffin, Charlie Condou, Tamzin Outhwaite and Amanda Holden – who partied away despite breaking her leg in two places on holiday.

John and Lisa met on Celebrity MasterChef in 2010, and Torode proposed to Lisa on Christmas Day in 2018, after six-and-a-half years of dating.

However, the foodie revealed his bride actually forgot to say ‘yes’ to his proposal for three hours after he popped the question. Which is a long time to spend down on one knee.

Discussing his festival proposal on Good Morning Britain, the BBC star confessed: ‘I did and she said “yes” which was really lovely.

‘In fact, she didn’t yes for three and a half hours because she was so gobsmacked. ‘I remember saying to her, “Are you going to say yes?” and she went, “Have I not said yes?” I went, “No you have not said yes yet”.’

Let’s hope she managed to get her vows out a little quicker…

This is the second marriage for both John and Lisa.

Faulkner split from husband of six years Chris Coghill in 2011; the pair adopted daughter Billie together after three failed rounds of IVF.

Meanwhile, John separated from wife Jessica in 2011 and their divorce was confirmed in 2014.

The Australian chef is a father to Lulu and Jonah with Jessica, and has two other children, Casper and Marselle, from a previous relationship.
