Former TOWIE star Frankie Essex scammed again and blasts it as daylight robbery

Frankie Essex has revealed that she’s been “scammed again” as she hit out at the people behind it.

Former TOWIE star and OK! columnist Frankie took to Instagram on Saturday, 1 April, to express her frustrations as she labelled the ordeal as “daylight robbery”.

She wrote on her Story: “We have been scammed again. I will be sharing I’m just taking this further it’s such a shame people kindly rob other people”.

“Scamming is basically a polite way of daylight robbery,” Frankie added.

The reality TV star is yet to share anymore details about the ordeal and how much she's lost as a result.

Frankie isn’t alone in being scammed out of money by fraudsters, the likes of Amy Hart, Helen Skelton and Adam Rickett have also experienced similar financial loss.

Former Hollyoaks star Adam revealed on Good Morning Britain in September that he was "completely conned" out of "tens of thousands of pounds" in a horror bank fraud incident.

The 44 year old actor, who is known for playing Kyle Kelly in hit soap Hollyoaks between 2017 and 2020, was joined by his wife Katy, who is a GMB correspondent.

During the chat, host Susanna Reid, who admitted she too would have fallen victim as it was very "persuasive" and he did "everything that he could" to verify who the people were, asked how much they had lost during the scam.

To which Adam revealed: "We lost £50,000… just shy of that, so £49,500. The scary thing is, that wasn't what they were aiming for. They weren't aiming for the £49,500, they were aiming to empty our entire business account.

"It was purely by chance after this two, three hour process, that I was able to spot that the money, that I was told would never be leaving our account, had actually been left and it wasn't [his bank] he was speaking to."

Adam insisted that his bank has been "fantastic" throughout the process of solving the crime and that they were since notified that their funds have come back.

Elsewhere, Strictly star Helen lost £70,000 of her lifesavings to fraudsters, while Amy had £5,000 taken out of her bank.
