Prince Harry has reportedly seen the "curtain come down" on any possibility of harmony between him, his wife Meghan Markle and the rest of his family, after a meeting with his father Prince Charles whilst he was in the UK.
Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, and their children, Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, made the transatlantic trip from their home in Montecito, California for the Queen's Jubilee celebrations just over a week ago.
According to reports, the Duke and Duchess were hoping for a peace meeting with Prince Charles whilst they were in the UK, however a royal expert reported that there were "no touchy feely" vibes coming from the 73 year old first-in-line to the throne.
American-British journalist Christopher Anderson told Royally US that the "curtain has come down” on the possibility of harmony between the estranged father and son, and mentioned how "heartbroken" Princess Diana would be at the state of the relations between the two.

Host of Royally US Christine Ross asked: “We saw some reports that Meghan and Harry were seen leaving Charles’ home.
“Is there any truth to that? Do we know what they talked about? And did it maybe move us towards healing any of these rifts?”
Mr Anderson said: “Well, I understand that it was a perfunctory meeting and that there was no real breakthrough.
“And I have a feeling that Prince Harry definitely went there hoping for some sort of rapprochement but there were no touchy-feely vibes coming back in his direction.
“So, I think the curtain has come down. And one of the things I think is so sad about this is Diana, were she alive today, would be heartbroken by this.
“She would have understood why Harry would have wanted to make his own life and wanted to go to California."
Prince Harry and Meghan, who officially stepped down from royal duties in 2020, only made one public appearance during the four-day Jubilee celebrations, when they attended the Service of Thanksgiving for the Queen on Friday, 3 June.
After the pair threw a first birthday party in the gardens of their old home, Frogmore Cottage, for their daughter Lilibet, they caught a private jet back to the US before the Queen's Jubilee Pageant was over.
They were not seen in public with any of the senior members of the royal family, including the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William or Kate Middleton, although they are said to have introduced their daughter to the Queen in a meeting that lasts just 15 minutes.
There has been plenty of discord between Harry and his family, after Meghan and Harry made a series of accusations about the Royal Family in an explosive interview with US chat show host, Oprah, in March 2021.
Harry is also currently writing a tell-all book, described as a "heartfelt memoir" about his life, which is due for publication in Autumn.
