Hilary Duff anticipates being called a ‘child abuser after piercing daughters ears at 7 months

Hilary Duff, 34, says that she’s expecting people to brand her a “child abuser” after getting her seven month old daughter’s ears pierced.

The mum of three shared a sweet snap of her youngest child, Mae, on social media where the baby can be seen wearing small diamond earrings.

She captioned the photo: “Yes! I pierced her ears today. Can't wait for the internet to go call me a child abuser…again. lesss go,” adding a crossed fingers emoji.

Hilary shares baby Mae with her husband Matthew Koma. The pair also share three year old daughter Banks Violet together, while Hilary has a nine year old son, Luca, with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.

Having Mae’s ears pierced wasn’t the only thing Hilary got up to on Monday 8 November; she also got a new tattoo on her neck that reads “mother”.

It’s thought that this is the 20th tattoo of the 34 year old’s.

Other tattoos of hers include a matching one she got with her sister Haylie Duff saying “thick as thieves”, and a wishbone on her wrist to represent good luck.

Hilary recently shared cute pictures of her family on Instagram where they can be seen celebrating Halloween together.

In one of the pictures, her son Luca posed with his two sisters. Luca was dressed as what appeared to be popular Japanese cartoon character Naruto, while Banks was Tinkerbell and Mae looked adorable in a cow costume.

She and Matthew also joined in on the dressing up fun. Hilary could be seen in an all white outfit and face jewels, while Matthew, whom she married in 2019, was dressed as a wizard with a very impressive beard.

The couple’s youngest child, Mae, was born in May 2021, andHilary later shared intimate pictures of her going through labour.

In the snaps, the mum of three who was boasting blue hair at the time looked reasonably calm and collected while being supported by Matthew and her non-medical birth worker, Molly.

Hilary wrote alongside the photographs: “Feeling ready to share some photos of Mae Mae’s birth day!!! For me to feel safe during birth and get to where I need to go, it’s crucial to have the right support system. The perfect amount of space, counter-pressure, humor, stillness and people that support my power.

“My hubby is the most calm anchor in the room when I feel like climbing the walls and my little Molly is an extraordinary doula who sat with me when I needed to be still and quiet.”
