Hoda Kotb Called Out Jenna Bush Hager on the ‘Today Show’ for a Big Reason

Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager are as close as they come—at least, that’s what Hoda thought until this weekend happened.

On Monday’s fourth hour of the Today show, Hoda opened up to Jenna about a discovery she made while scrolling on Instagram over the weekend. The 57-year-old mother of two confessed that she “Likes everything” Jenna does but sometimes she gets “jealous.”

“I’m like, ‘Look at Jenna at the U.S. Open. Wait, she’s sitting with who?'” she recalled. “As I’m scrolling through the pictures, Brad Pitt with the bucket hat on, Jenna Bush Hager trying not to focus on Brad Pitt with the bucket hat on, and next to Brad Pitt, another Brad–Bradley Cooper. That was the Men’s Finals.”

“First of all, I should have called you and asked you what to wear,” the 39-year-old mother of three responded to Hoda. But this only fired up Hoda even more in the most hilarious way.

“What to wear?! How about ‘Do you want to go?’…You know what, it’s been a fun show,” Hoda said while jokingly pretending to wrap up the show. “OK, great, thanks. Nope, I’m good. Don’t worry, don’t you worry about me. Joel [Schiffman]’s out of town. I’m just by myself. Don’t worry, I was all alone.”

Meanwhile, Jenna had her head down on the talk desk, occasionally breaking out into laughter. “Wait, what? I would have loved for you to come,” Jenna said before Hoda interjected to reassure her that she was just teasing.

As it turns out, Jenna and her husband, Henry Hager, attended the tennis match with other Today stars, including Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker, who went with their spouses Michael Feldman and Deborah Roberts, respectively. In addition to the Brads, several other A-listers and big names were also in the stands, like Mariska Hargitay, Gayle King and Laverne Cox.

All we have to say is, Hoda better start receiving some more invites from Jenna!
