Richard Bacon will be living in the lap of luxury as the star has purchased a $5.3million (£4.29million) home in the Hollywood Hills.
The TV presenter, 44, and his wife Rebecca McFarland will be living in the highly sought after Bird Streets neighbourhood, with the house lying directly above the famous Sunset Strip.
The purchase comes after the former Blue Peter host inked a deal with Universal Television to produce unscripted TV content for the company.

While many Bird Streets homes are ultra-contemporary, the Bacon estate is a 1930s Mediterranean-style throwback compound with plenty of land but no city lights views.
From outside, the coral-colored exterior walls appealingly contrast with cobalt blue shutters and trim. The landscaping successfully evokes that of a villa on the Italian Riviera, with drought-tolerant grasses and gnarled olive trees.
There is a stone fountain surrounded by a crunchy pea gravel garden, and a stone terrace just off the main house contains an alfresco dining area and built-in BBQ centre for the couple to enjoy.
The front door opens into a proper foyer visually anchored by a beautiful hardwood staircase and flanked by a sunken, fireplace-equipped drawing room and dining room.

There’s also a library that opens directly onto the stone patio. A gourmet kitchen is also loaded with high-end stainless appliances and connects to an adjoining breakfast area that’s separated from the more formal dining room, outfitted with a dedicated fireplace and wet bar.
Also connected to the kitchen is a butler’s pantry with china storage and wine refrigerator, plus additional countertop space for catering large events.
Other main floor spaces include an office, a laundry room, and a bedroom with en suite bath that is ideal for overnight guests or a live-in nanny or housekeeper.

The entire second level is dedicated to the home’s three family bedrooms, including the large master suite, which takes up more than half of the floor and includes a private terrace overlooking the backyard, large bath with dual vanities and soaking tub, and dual dressing rooms.
A grassy backyard lawn runs beside the detached guesthouse and between the guesthouse and main house lies a large stone patio encircling an elegantly rectangular swimming pool.
In May, Richard inked a deal with Universal to develop and produce unscripted content in the US.

According to Deadline, the presenter will produce shows for the World of Dance and The Wall studio and already has a couple of projects in development.
Richard has already created The Hustler, a mystery-based game show that was given a series order by ABC last year and will be hosted by Craig Ferguson.
Meanwhile, the broadcaster is reportedly set for a return to TV screens with a new BBC game show later this year.
A source has claimed that the presenter will front a new ‘half-reality, half-game show’, provisionally titled This Is My House.

Richard’s reported new venture comes two years after he was placed in a medically-induced coma for 11 days, after being rushed to hospital with pneumonia.
An insider told The Sun: ‘BBC bosses want Richard at the helm of it. They think he has the right balance of charm and humour to front such a weird format.
‘It’s been described as The Circle meets Through the Keyhole meets Would I Lie to You?’
MailOnline contacted a representative for Richard at the time.
