Celebrities are “dating” anyone they’re seen out and about with. Unfortunately, it comes with the territory. No one knows this better than The O.C. star, Rachel Bilson. The actress was recently linked to Bachelor, Nick Viall. In the end, Bilson said the two were “just friends.” Now, there’s a new celebrity attached to Bilson’s name. You might recognize the Saturday Night Live alum people say Bilson is dating.
Who has Rachel Bilson dated in the past?
Rachel Bilson’s dating history involves a lot of long-term relationships. Way back in 2003, Bilson and her co-star from The O.C., Adam Brody, became a thing on-screen, and off.
Bilson and Brody dated for three years, bring much joy to fans of the show. Not long after their 2006 breakup, Brody moved onto his now-wife, Leighton Meester, who starred in Gossip Girl. They married in 2014.
Meanwhile, Bilson struck up a relationship with actor, Hayden Christensen, whom she met on the set of the 2007 science fiction movie, Jumper. The two became engaged in 2008 but called it off in 2010. They reconciled, but didn’t marry, and had a daughter together in 2014.
In 2017, after 10 years together, Bilson and Christensen broke up for good. According to Us Weekly, distance had been an ongoing issue, preventing them from working things out a second time.
Bilson is a single mother
Since then, Bilson opened up about the struggles of dating as a single mom.
“I was talking to this guy a few months back. Anytime I would bring my daughter up, [he] would never pursue the question or ask more about her,” she revealed on Viall’s podcast, Viall Files. “It was a red flag because anyone that you’re going to get involved with, if you have a kid, they have to be all about the kid.”
She added, “I always put it out there, but also because she’s my world and I talk about her all the time anyways.”
Similarly, in 2018, Bilson told People she and Christensen work at maintaining a healthy co-parenting relationship.
“Most important for me is that Briar is OK and secure and stable. No matter what I’m dealing with or how much it hurts or how much anger there is, it’s just about her.”
Which ‘SNL’ alum was Bilson spotted with?
In a photo obtained by TMZ over the weekend, Bilson holds hands with former SNL castmate, Bill Hader. The two were on a coffee run at a Starbucks in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Hader and Bilson worked together on the 2013 romantic comedy, The To-Do List, directed by Hader’s ex-wife, Maggie Carey, with whom he has three daughters. They married from 2006-2018.
Neither Bilson nor Hader have commented on the speculation. Their time together could be as innocent as two friends grabbing a cup of joe, or it could be a romance in the works.
Considering Bilson’s previous statements about dating as a single mother, we’d assume she wouldn’t hang out with just anyone unless there might be something to it. But again, nothing has been confirmed by either party.
Here’s why the speculation might be onto something
Adding more fuel to the Bilson/Hader fire, some are pointing to the fact that Tulsa, Oklahoma is where Hader is from. TMZ also reported that some witnesses at Starbucks confirmed Hader’s family was present. This is kind of a big deal with the holidays looming.
Add this to a previous outing the two had in early November and it’s looking more like Hollywood’s newest celebrity couple. It’s in the bag if Hader has, in fact, met Bilson’s daughter. Until then, we’ll enjoy watching the internet freak out over Bilson and Hader’s coffee time.
