Kristin Chenoweth paid a visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (November 5) and dished about her first time meeting her collaborators Ariana Grande and Reba McEntire.
“I can’t believe they all said yes,” the Tony and Emmy-winning actress joked about Ariana, Reba and Dolly Parton singing on her new album For The Girls.
Kristin recalled meeting Reba McEntire years ago while wearing a pillbox girl costume: “It came the moment… and I got really shy,” Kristin says. “She said, ‘Well, hi there!,’ and I go, ‘Dippin Dots?’ That was not the moment I wanted to have.”
It was quite the opposite experience when a 10-year-old Ariana Grande seized the moment meeting Chenoweth at the Wicked stage door. “Ariana snag a little something and I was like, ‘holy crap, she’s really good.’ I gave her a wand…. and said, ‘just remember to follow your passion, do what you love.’”
Kristin also teased her upcoming projects and demonstrated her airplane sanitization routine and how she takes care of her voice.
