Love Islands Gemma Owen arrives at BooHoo offices amid reports of six-figure deal

Gemma Owen was spotted arriving in Manchester on Tuesday 9 August, shortly after rumours began circulating about a 'six-figure deal' between the Love Island star and fashion brand BooHoo.

Gemma, 19, is believed to be the first Islander from the 2022 series to land a huge money deal despite coming in second place, alongside Luca Bish.

The international dressage rider, who is the eldest daughter of former footballer Michael Owen, has reportedly had a number of brands interested in working with her, but is said to have been snapped up by popular fast fashion brand BooHoo.

While she's yet to confirm the news, Gemma could be seen arriving in Manchester Piccadilly station before making her way to the BooHoo offices alongside a security guard.

She cut a stylish figure in a pair of white tailored trousers and a nude crop top, which she paired with silver espadrille wedges and a pale pink handbag.

Gemma finished off her look with a pair of RayBan sunglasses and her signature gold choker necklace along with a stack of gold bracelets.

According to a source, plans for the project with BooHoo were already being made before Gemma entered the Love Island villa earlier this summer with the 19 year old appearing to be in high demand.

“She had lots of brands keen to sign her,” the source told The Sun.

In July, MailOnline reported that Gemma's management team had been "bombarded" with brands eager to work with her.

The horse rider's own swimwear company, OG Beachwear, also started to receive a huge number of orders thanks to her Love Island stint.

“Win or lose, Gemma will make a fortune from Love Island through her fashion label. Since going on the programme orders have skyrocketed,” an insider told the publication.

“And there's also been increasing interest from high street chains and online retailers who would like to discuss working with Gemma. She could make hundreds of thousands.”

It is being predicted that Gemma will make much more than her reported six figures from her latest deal, and she reportedly celebrated her new fashion venture at private members club 180 The Strand in London on Friday.

Meanwhile, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu is reportedly being lined up to become the next Loose Women panellist, after wowing bosses during a recent interview alongside fellow winner Davide Sanclimenti.

“There are talks for Ekin-Su to join the panel – she’d be great,” a source told OK!

“She was very naturally funny, open and honest, and that’s what they want. She came across as really fun and genuine and she really impressed everyone. The Loose Women ladies also loved her. She really would be great as a regular panellist.”
